Artist's Comments

The creature was a sketch by Bobby Chiu of Imaginism Studios. I added the element of size, and did the painting in Photoshop CS. The piece is intended as a children's illustration, to go with the following caption ... " Outside of town there sits a Great Grissit, I don't know how you could possibly miss it".

this sort of thing amazes me... where/how did you learn to paint like that? like... well me, I can sketch like a madman (if i try... dont take my posted sketches as a good example XD i havent posted sketches in a LONG time, and i didn't exactly put much effort into those lol) and I know that it came from a combination of YEARS of practice, and a lot of help from fellow artists, and books. Was this any different?

My goddess he's awesome looking. He looks like some giant mutated dogish creature, and I imagine if I ever came across a grissit I would have the urge to give it a cookie.
