This is painted traditionally in acrylic on 20'x 30' illustration board, it took about 2 weeks to finish.
I did the painting to serve as pre-production art for a sculpture which we made later on, while I was working with Hall Train studios (1995-96). The finished sculpture eventually became an animatronic exhibit at Universal Studios' Islands of Adventure. Daily DeviationGiven 2007-09-10Acrylics are an amazing medium, requiring much skill to master. Its made more impressive by painting an animal you cant even get a visual reference of (skin on) Triceratops by ~adventurevisual is a great piece that uses the medium and the imagination so well.
